If my readers could take away anything at all from today’s post, it’s this: no matter what long-term pain, condition, or inexplicable set of symptoms you’ve been living with, there is relief available. And maybe even an out-and-out cure through something a new health care (or spiritual) practitioner suggests or some combination thereof.
As Ashton Applewhite, author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism reinforced for me recently when she appeared on The Conscious Reality Show with me, the people who stay healthy their whole lives are the ones who refuse to accept a diagnosis as permanent, who expect to get well at any age and with any condition. Which means we keep our eyes open and we keep praying/affirming: there is an answer and I can find it.
So, with that in mind, I give you my list of health providers that have changed my life by helping me or others heal ourselves of multiple conditions. Most of them (not all) are in the greater Sacramento area (one is in Pasadena/Sherman Oaks, so I consult her online). For the readers that live elsewhere, either consider a field trip to Sacramento, call these folks up and ask for a referral in your area, or just use the descriptions I have to look up and ask around for similar practitioners in your area. Note that there are two separate image pages, each with 5 practitioners.
Above all else, I affirm “I may not know what is wrong or how to cure it, but someone does and I can find that someone.”

Note that some of the practitioners might be partially paid through health insurance that covers out-of-network providers. Some of these providers may be in somebody’s network. But it’s probably best to assume that they are just private pay going into it and then be pleasantly surprised.
Reflection Questions
- Have you given up trying to get well?
- If you stopped looking, does that decision make you feel better or worse about life?
- What haven’t you tried?
- What’s stopping you?
- If it were your kid instead of you, would you stop?
- What else do you think is possible here?
