While the bike lane might not have been the perfect place to orient yourself, momentarily stopping in the bike lane does NOT give anyone the right to ram your vehicle or yell a profanity at you. The behavior of the cyclist you encountered was indefensible. And while I appreciate the cycling ethos of the Dutch, we live in the United States. It's going to our culture a long time to evolve into anything close to what the Dutch exhibit, if that's even possible. Until then, if we all take a few collective deep breaths and give each other a break, maybe life can actually "get a little better than this"?
