As 2019 screams to a close, feelings are a mixture about the year. Here’s a list of things I’m happy to see go (some personal, some in the world) and those I am so grateful for:
Happily letting go of:
- 20 people in a Democratic Primary debate (and many of those people as candidates)
- Bret Kavanaugh
- Putting on a show every single Sunday
- Mass Shootings becoming common place
- All the stuff that we threw out when our closets collapsed
- the illusion that I don’t have time to write
- False feelings of lack
- Conditional self love
Sadly saying goodbye to:
- Our mother living in our family home of 54 years
- San Diego as a home base
- Being a pastor of Center for Spiritual Living, Davis
- June Cummins Lewis
- A friendship that recently ended
- Watching so much televison
