You can see what you think, but I may have come a tiny bit unhinged yesterday when I proclaimed “praise Donald Trump” several times.
Let me connect the dots a bit more than I did in the talk:
The actual mechanics of quantum physics, as I understand them, make it clear that we are literally creating our own reality through our consciousness. Nothing in the world is as fixed or real as we think it is.
Nowhere is the power of our consciousness more apparent than in American politics. Like it or not, we created Joe Biden and Donald Trump (not to mention Marianne Williamson or anyone considering a run outside one of the political parties) out of our powerful consciousness (otherwise, they wouldn’t exist!)
In my assessment, both Donald Trump and Joe Biden should offer strong spiritual evidence that what we think is fixed reality is unreal and malleable–that all things are possible.
We may recall that despite being a former Vice President, Biden was lagging in the polls and in the debates in the 2020 Democratic primary. He was certainly lagging in the excitement generated. Folks were talking about and working hard for Bernie Sanders (my favorite), Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, and possibly even Kamala Harris. Insiders endorsed him, but practically no one was excited about him. Biden was stumbling in the debates and underperforming. Shortly after Bernie won both the California and the Democratic primaries, Biden swept South Carolina’s primary and shortly thereafter brokered a deal with other candidates to endorse him as the nominee. Biden went on to conclusively win the presidency (despite a massive fraudulent attempt to claim otherwise and an attempted coup on January 6th, 2021).
Donald Trump is an even bigger dramatic story: a flagrant adulterer and sexual harasser, a constant liar, and an unabashed racist are not the ingredients in a normal recipe for winning public office. Nor, prior to now, was being impeached twice or being multiply criminally indicted for criminal conspiracy to overthrow the government considered presidential resume fodder.
Yet, Donald Trump was not only elected President but is the leading contender for the Republican nomination for President again.
I praised Donald Trump for a few reasons yesterday:
- Anyone who has Donald Trump appear in their “reality” deserves multiple award nominations for best producer, director, and screenplay. I mean, we are geniuses!
- Donald Trump’s story shows me that anything can happen. All things are possible. Everything can shift instantly.
- I don’t know about the rest of you, but I clearly created Donald Trump in order to be inspired and to wake up.
- Inspired because he lets absolutely nothing stop him so why would I let something stop me.
- Wake up to the reality that what we resist persists. So as I waste time gossiping, judging and pushing against Donald Trump, I could instead be working with others to create a world that works for everyone: free and comprehensive (including for all reproductive rights) health care for all, guaranteed basic income, affordable housing, a sustainable environment, and more are available with only a switch of consciousness.
Let’s make it happen.
